Carl Strandlund was an inventor best known for his 1950s pre-fabricated Lustron houses. Less than 2500 of these steel homes were built and we have a good number of them in St. Louis.

Today I discovered a great article from the Summer 2003 newsletter of the St. Louis Chapter of the Society of Architectural Historians. In the article, Tom Bakersmith provided an impressive list of St. Louis area Lustron house locations. His list is below with a few updates.
